ASYD Technical Assistance Opportunities

Schools are back in session – whether in-person or virtual – and during this unprecedented time of uncertainty, there has been a call for childcare and afterschool programs to support learning in new and innovative ways. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do. We know that answering the call requires support, and we are honored to continue to provide professional learning to youth development professionals across the state.

The diversity of the types of programs across the state necessitates differentiated support/professional learning opportunities. You meet children where they are, and we want to meet programs across the state where they are. We are launching tiered technical assistance to provide a professional learning model that allows you to connect at your level of needed support.

Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GSAN) Tiered Technical Assistance Model

Tier I: Universal/Open Support and Engagement

For programs looking to connect and receive communications from the Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GSAN) and the Georgia Afterschool & Youth Development (ASYD) Initiative and become aware of the ASYD Quality Standards and other quality improvement resources. Tier I includes: GSAN/ASYD newsletters, emails, and website resources

Tier II: Intermediate/Targeted Support and Engagement

For programs wanting targeted support and training on ASYD Quality Standards Quality Elements, other specific topics and group coaching. Tier II includes: GSAN/ASYD webinars, group coaching, and ASYD Self-Assessment training

Tier III: One-on-One/Direct Support and Engagement

For programs interested in working with a Quality Coach to assess programming, create an action plan and take the necessary steps to increase program quality and outcomes for the children served. Intensive support is provided which requires significant commitment and time from the program to be effective. Tier III includes: Direct training, coaching, ASYD Self-Assessment, and Action Plan
