We are pleased to announce our August 2020 webinars focused on service learning as a part of our ASYD 2020 Webinar Series! Registration for each of these trainings is now open.

Introduction to Service Learning
Date: August 12
Time: 1 – 2:30 pm

Description: Discover how service-learning can help you meet your youth-centered goals, improve community culture, and ignite student passion for solving community issues. This foundational and engaging session provides you with an overview of the service-learning process including the student centered stage called IPARD (investigation, preparation & planning, action, reflection, and demonstration). Learn how to connect student outcomes to action to ensure a quality service-learning experience. Leave with resources and tools to take next steps in your out of school program…and prepare to be engaged!

Service Learning: Using the IPARD Model

Description: In this highly interactive webinar, participants will identify the 21st century skills and the 4 C’s built by service learning, understand the five stages of the IPARD model (Investigation, Planning, Action, Reflection, and Demonstration) and practice how to use IPARD to lead service learning projects with youth. This deep dive into the stages of service learning will allow participants to walk away ready to infuse service learning into their out-of-school time programs!
